Administered by the Federal Department of Health, the National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme (NICNAS) was the regulatory body for industrial chemicals in Australia, and was superseded by Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) in 2019. NICNAS publishes health and environmental risk assessments on industrial chemicals that are new to Australia and promotes their safe use. This list includes substances that have been assessed for health and/or environmental health concerns.
