Database of substances categorized by weight-of-evidence classifications established by EPA using the 1986, 1996, 1999, and 2005 Guidelines for Carcinogen Risk Assessment. These guidelines reflect the evolution of the science in this area and the corresponding evolution of the Agency’s approach to characterizing weight-of-evidence for human carcinogenicity.
A small number of substances are of uncertain content and have no CAS number and are not currently included in the CML: such as Diesel Exhaust & Nickel refinery dust. Not all compound groups are fully populated
The 1986 Probable human carcinogen Group B1 is based on limited evidence of carcinogenicity in humans and sufficient evidence of carcinogenicity in animals. The Group B2 is based solely on sufficient evidence of carcinogenicity in animals.
(1999) Suggestive evidence of carcinogenicity fulle explain is "suggestive evidence of carcinogenicity, but not sufficient to assess human carcinogenic potential"
