The EPA listing includes all ozone-depleting substances (ODS) recognized by the Montreal Protocol. The lists include ozone depletion potentials (ODP), global warming potentials (GWP), and CAS numbers for each ODS. The lists are organized by class:

  • Class I Substance: one of several groups of chemicals with an ozone-depletion potential of 0.2 or higher (mostly CFCs plus some other Halons and other related substances.
  • Class II Substance: a chemical with an ozone-depletion potential of less than 0.2 (all HCFCs).
