Section 8(e) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) requires that EPA be immediately notified when substances or mixtures present a substantial risk of injury to health or the environment. The report must be submitted to the EPA within 30 days of discovering the risk. Substantial Risk Notifications that include Confidential Business Information (CBI) claims are excluded from this list in Pharos, and substances and mixtures not clearly identified (without CASRN) are selectively added into Pharos, where numeric identifiers are available.
